Hmm….what’s to know about me?? Well, first of all, I love to knit on my loom. That’s the main reason that I started my blog here…to share what I make, tell where it’s going, and hope that I can help those who enjoy doing this craft as much as I do. I have been knitting this way for about a year and a half, but in the middle of that time had to stop for wrist surgery. Now, I am back and wanting to do and learn more!!
Since my husband and I bought our first new home in a small town in Texas, I have had an urge to do charity work for this community. When I found my church, they pointed me in the right direction–to a pregnancy center called Hope. Hence, the name of the blog–Looming for Hope. For them, I craft booties and hats for the new babies and mommies, so that they will have something specially made for them, and will hopefully become a treasure for their families.
Otherwise, about me, I am a work at home step-mommy to two beautiful boys. We don’t see them as much since they moved, but I love them as they were my own. I have a dog named Izily, a best friend I am married to, and a life that finally seems to make sense!! So I am sure that the trials and tribulations of marriage and step-parenting will come into this at several points, as well as what happens in day to day life. Last, but not the least important, I will touch on deafness as I am partially deaf. There are many factors that are affected, but is not seen as a handicap, more of a blessing with hiccups. *grins*
To those reading this, welcome, and I appreciate you stopping by in my corner of the world.
How you talk about yourself sounds nice and gives me a warm feeling. Thanks for sharing.
